Hail No More!

As I sat there gazing at my newly planted garden, swinging on my wicker porch swing the clouds started rolling in. Of course I had just planted NEW tomato plants, peppers, squash, zucchini, pole beans, and eggplant---and the hail came. What is it with N. GA and the storms? Fortunately, the peppers survived this one...and most of leaves were unaffected.

I am truly enjoying my time outside---what a difference it makes to have something to do outside and with the family. Each day I have been doing something different after work---piddling in the garden. Tyler has become very interested---which hopefully he will remember these days just as I remember my Mom and Dad in our garden growing up.

I will be posting the pics hopefully tonight of the 'beginning' of the garden. Only one trellis is up, I have yet to build the others. Maybe I will get to those tonight. Oooh! Forgot...I bought a prize--hopefully it will be a prize. I ordered some tomato trays and organic fertilizer---hopefully it will be here on Monday.
