Crazy in Love with my Flower Tower

Ahhh....the weekend playing in the dirt. I started by checking out LadySlippers in Hickory Flat! This time is wasn't so overwhelming, I went knowing what I was looking for. Steve was so helpful working on our projects from getting the patio clean to watering plants.

Projects for the weekend:

Flower Tower---See the pics below. I filled them with Superbells, Red, Blue, and White. They should be beautiful in a couple of weeks and bloom all summer. The bottom pot I filled with Verbena (red) and english ivy that should trail over the side. I LOVE this project---and smile everytime I see it!

Hanging Flower Pots-- This definitely was funny---we bought the Expensive Shepherd's hook, shoved it into the ground and hung the plants. HA! It couldn't decide which way to bend---so we ran it right back to Home Depot! Cheap! I did go with the shorter hooks, with only one hook. MUCH Better! One pot has the "wave" petunias with Purple Velvet and the other has the White Wave with Nemisia.
And ....the Garden--It's planted! I will post pics this afternoon with whats in each box. We really enjoyed being outside, sitting and enjoying our front porch.

  2. Directions for Flower Tower-
1-4ft Rebar, 1-12 inch pot, 4-8inch pot, (all pots need a center hole in bottom) Potting Soil, 11-4inch plants

Pound Rebar straight into ground. Slide 12 inch pot on the rebar, fill with dirt.
Slide 8inch, set on diagonal. Fill with dirt.
Remember to leave 1-2inch of space in the pot to prevent overflow when watering. The 2nd 8inch pot needs to set on edge of pot at diagonal. I put 2-4inch plants in each pot, with 3 in the 12 inch pot.
